A handmade box designed for a perfume brand with exquisite accessories
A fragrance is an essence that touches lives. It spreads its beauty across people, cultures and geographies. It creates an impression, it crafts an expression.This is what defines the philosophy of Sterling Perfumes Industries, a leading conglomerate in the Middle East founded in 1998. In 2020, our overseas sales team received an online inquiry from the Middle East, and the customer was from Dubai.They sought a packaging designer who could capture the essence of their luxurious fragrances and the cultural heritage they embodied. The brand desired packaging that would transport customers to a world of opulence and evoke the mystique of Arabian nights.
The challenge
Due to limited transportation space and product design prices, the overall structure was a tilted folding cardboard box. Moreover, we noticed that people in Dubai have a crush on golden elements, so we decided to use gold stamping on the surface, contributing to the overall style——white and gold. After we sent the sample to Dubai, the customer thought it was a little bit blank and suggested adding some details on the front of the box. We provided a case of a gold metal sheet and diamond accessory, which was manually attached to a fixed position to improve the appearance. Besides, the EVA inner tray inside the box created by flocking was pretty much eye-catching.
The outcome

After we learned about their budget and product positioning, combined with their relevant copies and perfume bottle data, we sent senior designers to carry out packaging design work.
