Just as a musician arranges a melody carefully by combining and layering musical notes over one another, so too does a perfumer compose a fragrance. Keeping in mind the delicacy of the perfume, we manufacture custom perfume boxes specially designed for our valued customers. Perfumes need to be protected in a packaging that precisely goes parallel to the item’s own specific nature. In 2021, a customer from Dubai found us on the Internet and asked us to help them develop the packaging of their perfumes.
The challenge
We collated data on the properties of each material, accounting for key performance characteristics as well as sustainability metrics from feedstock to end-of-life. In the die cutting process, we encountered many difficulties as the structure was roughly measured, giving rise to unsightly margins.
The outcome
At the end of the project, we presented our customer with our final packaging option that were specifically suited to their design needs.Their journey in developing a captivating perfume packaging design exemplifies the importance of understanding brand identity, capturing the essence of the product, and meticulous attention to detail. By immersing themselves in the brand’s values and aligning the packaging design with the unique characteristics of each fragrance, we successfully created an unforgettable sensory experience. The packaging design became a tangible representation of the brand’s elegance, evoking desire and inspiring customers to embark on a fragrant journey.
Our solution
For this project, we pulled in expertise from our network to get the details right. Armed with insights into the brand and the fragrances, our design team began sketching and conceptualizing different packaging ideas. They explored various shapes, materials, and finishes, aiming to create a design that would be visually striking, luxurious, and reflective of the brand’s identity.Together, we identified sustainable plastics and plastic alternatives that could potentially suit the product.We decided to conduct second printing and eventually mended the work. Using gold stamping, we created a glossy, reflective effect that is supremely attractive. The shining finish on the packaging also adds sophistication and elegance.
