An exquisitely designed drawer box for a cosmetic brand

They partnered with us to create branded packaging that would help elevate their brand on and off the table without having to compromise their values.
The challenge
In 2017, we received an inquiry from their marketing department to produce the package of a peripheral product——a silk eye mask. They wanted us to deal with the embossing process based on the existing model, in a bid to improve the product texture. After we got the design drawing, we analyzed the configuration of paper and base material and quickly gave them feedback. As the paper of 128Gsm glossy silver card was rather thin, the embossing process didn’t went well, and even the embossing pattern would be compressed in the later packaging process. In addition, the customer asked for UV printing, so the ink layer of offset printing was relatively thin, making it easy to scratch the reverse ink.
The outcome
Our precise proofing eventually won unanimous approval, which also made us a stable supplier, bringing in millions of revenue. Together, we continued to push the boundaries of creativity and sustainability. Our solution
Therefore, we decided to use the electric engraving as a convex abrasive tool, designated to the more stable pressure of the flat die cutting machine to make a sample, artificially adding a thick paper to cushion the gap between the high bumps.
